He did it!

He saved up 300 dollars for this guitar (a Fender Squier 20th Anniversary edition), an amplifier, picks, 3 books and a tuner. I don't know if we got ripped off or not...we got this off of a guy who listed it all on Craig's list Vancouver. Josh is SOOOOO excited to have an ELECTRIC guitar. Watch out world! Posted by Picasa

First lesson

Of course he wants to PLAY today...like a rockstar. It starts off a bit slow, but he's sticking to practicing for 10 minutes and goofing around (MY term) for the rest of the time. He's trying and it is frustrating...but he will get it! He is very motivated! Oh, and I'm not allowed to look at him while he practices "MOM, you mess me up now STOP IT!" But he's so cute! Posted by Picasa

Rosy cheeked from sledding

Of course, I forgot the camera in the van during the actual sledding event. The hill on Mt. Seymour was quite busy. That didn't stop Soren from falling asleep! I (Abby) put him down and sheltered him the best I could. He stayed asleep in a snow bank for about 15 minutes...even through a snow shower! THAT would have been a good picture! Posted by Picasa

Zea helps build the fort

It is hard to play with the kids sometimes....I can't get in that headspace, but when I do it is ALWAYS good and ALWAYS refreshing. May this post remind me of that. I remember playing fort when I was growing up. It was SOOOO fun. It turns out it still is. We read some books, played with a flashlight and played "Happy Birthday" (where we took turns singing various versions of Happy Birthday to one another and eating imaginary (stacking block) birthday cake. It was delish!). Posted by Picasa

OMIGOD!!!

Zea often says this, with this expression in regards to something Soren is doing to the cat. Posted by Picasa
