Final Destination (sort of)

Ahhhh, we arrived at Mom and Dad's place in Minnesota after driving for two days (sleeping in Bozeman, MT hotel). We drove home in two days as well...15 hours in the car that second day...YIKES! In one piece there and back, these pictures chronicle some of the highlights. We didn't take as many pictures as I had intended... Posted by Picasa

Josh at Como Zoo

Our first stop in Mpls/St. Paul was the Como Zoo
After the Zoo we ate at Annie's Parlour in Dinky Town as we were in search of THE BEST burger and fries. OMG. Not since Burger Heaven in New Westminster had I eaten a good burger at a restaurant. Posted by Picasa

We arrive at Valleyfair

Technically this was the second day and Jessica isn't in the picture, but was with us for both days. Valleyfair. Yes, we love amusement parks and went two days in a row. It was SO MUCH FUN!!! We went on crazy roller coasters, water rides, slides and Shane even went on this crazy thing. There was something for all of us to do and the lineups were practically nothing the first day (due to thunderstorms that intermittantly closed rides down...but only in the morning ;) ) and the longest we ever waited on the 2nd day was about 15 minutes.

Josh conquered his fear of roller coasters on The Corkscrew, though says he'll never do it again. He enjoyed bumper cars (we all did) and go-karting best.

Zea loved everything, but the 25 cent cotton candy was one of her favourites, along with the Mad Mouse roller coaster.

Soren was the energizer bunny. This was his element and he was quite upset that he couldn't go on more rides (that being said there were plenty that he could go on and that we could all go on together).

The most laughable moment had to be the end of the first day. It was our last ride, Thunder Canyon - a water that takes a round boat holding 6 passengers for a ride down a rapids shoot (thing SLOW running) and as it twists and turns, waterfalls spill over whoever is lucky/unlucky at that moment. Jess worked hard to stay dry all day and this was the only ride she was willing to get wet on. Wouldn't you know that every waterfall dump landed on her?? It was HILLARIOUS. We laughed and laughed. The best ride EVAH! We tried to recreate the fun on day two...but it wasn't nearly as exciting as watching Jess get soaked!! Posted by Picasa
